Georgia held their first scrimmage of fall camp last Saturday, and one rumor to come out from that scrimmage was a finger injury to starting center Drew Bobo. No specific information came out after the scrimmage regarding this injury, but a significant finger injury to Bobo's snapping hand could result in missed playing time to start the season.

Thankfully that won't be happening as of now as Kirby Smart confirmed that there is no concern surrounding Bobo's injury at this time.

Georgia starting center Drew Bobo's finger injury is not a concern

Smart confirmed on Wednesday that an injury did occur to Bobo last weekend, but he also shared that no one should be concerned about it. Bobo was a full participant at Georgia's practice on Tuesday and did not miss any of his usual reps, so Smart and his staff clearly aren't concerned about him right now.

This is great news for Georgia since Bobo is expected to be their starting center this season. Not only that, but he was just named to the Associated Press second team All-American team, so even the media expect Bobo to be one of the best centers in the country this year.

Georgia has depth behind Bobo, but no one is as good as him. He gives Georgia their best chance to win, so him avoiding anything serious was important news for their offense.

Georgia continues to survive fall camp without any major injuries

Georgia's fall camp has been ongoing for about two weeks now, and so far there have been no known significant injuries.

Georgia however wasn't able to survive the entire offseason without injuries stacking up as they have lost two players to season-ending injuries already. The first was to transfer linebacker Amaris Williams who tore his ACL during the spring, and the second occurred with running back transfer Dante Dowdell who suffered an off the field ATV injury during the summer.

Both Williams and Dowdell will be missed this season, but Georgia will be happy that no serious injuries have occurred since Dowdell went down. The longer Georgia can stay healthy the better because that will give them a better chance to win the SEC for the third year in a row, so hopefully this trend will continue throughout the rest of fall camp and into the regular season.

Bobo was the first real injury scare that has occurred during fall camp. That is pretty great considering Georgia's two weeks in, but there is always a chance an injury could occur on any given day. So Georgia should be thankful that they survived Bobo's injury because they may not get a positive update the next time a starter or key contributor goes down this season.
