Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin has been talking about Georgia every chance he's gotten this week. He has discussed the normal things any coach does leading up to a big game about how his team is preparing and what it will take to win, but he has also taken multiple shots Georgia's way this week as well.

Kirby Smart apparently has gotten sick of it, so he returned fire and cracked a funny joke at Kiffin's expense in an interview with Pat McAfee.

Kirby Smart claps back at Lane Kiffin in the best way possible

Georgia and Ole Miss are scheduled to kickoff at 3:30 pm EST on Saturday, Oct. 18. But the battle has already begun between the head coaches in the media this week.

Kiffin fired the first shot as he attempted to get in Smart's head by going above and beyond with his praise for him. He then took things to another level and turned his attention to Georgia's fans by saying they will do more bad than good for UGA during their game on Saturday.

Smart has finally responded by cracking a joke at Kiffin's expense. During Smart's interview with McAfee on Friday, he was asked if he would do anything crazy like Oregon head coach Dan Lanning did last week during College GameDay by taking his shirt off. Smart refused to do anything wild like that, but he did say that Lanning learned that behavior from Kiffin.

Kiffin and Smart are very good friends, so nothing that has been said between them is coming from a bad place. In fact, when Ole Miss and Georgia aren't playing each other they likely are hoping each other's team wins.

But when these two take the field against each other their friendship gets put to the side. So the time for joking with each other is over, and it's time to see who the better team on the field is.
