A new rumor took over the college football world on Monday as former Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy shared that he's heard Nick Saban could return to coaching college football. Saban himself has not commented on this yet, but it is not surprising that this rumor is now a focal point at the ongoing SEC Media Days.
Kirby Smart and Georgia are at Media Days on Tuesday, and Smart shared (jokingly) that he offered Saban a job at Georgia.
"I called and offered him Will Muschamp's job, but he was overqualified, so he wasn’t interested"

To be clear, this was an obvious joke after this rumor about Saban's interest in returning to coaching and the fact that some thought Will Muschamp was no longer with Georgia. But Smart was quick to clear all this up as Muschamp is in fact still with the program and Smart actually believes Saban will not return to coaching college football.
Kirby Smart doesn't believe Nick Saban will coach again
After getting his jokes out about Saban coming to coach at Georgia, Smart then gave a more serious comment about if he thinks Saban will return to college football or not.
"Nah, I don't believe it will happen. But I certainly know he would be good for the game. I know he loves being with his grandkids. He's not gonna get off that couch without Miss Terry letting him. That's one of those hard things -- he's got to bypass her first."

A return to coaching for Saban would be the biggest story in all of college football. If he did return it would be anyone's guess what school he would go to, but according to Smart he doesn't think that will happen.
Smart doesn't think Saban has any interest in returning to coaching in the first place, but even if he did he would need the approval from his wife Miss Terry which could be hard to get.
So for now it sounds like Georgia won't have to worry about Saban returning to college football, but it still doesn't seem that far-fetched that he could return at some point in the future.
