Georgia already has one five-star quarterback committed to their program, but why not add a second? That is what they are attempting to do with Elijah Haven who is the top ranked QB in the 2027 class as they have been aggressively targeting for a long time.
Kirby Smart has done a great job recruiting Haven and recently found out that Georgia is in his top four. That is a big deal especially considering he announced that his recruitment will likely be ending on April 25.
So where does Georgia stand one month out from his commitment date? Unfortunately Smart appears to have some more work to do if he is going to bring this recruitment home.
“I’m hoping within the next month, aiming for the date of April 25th as of now.”

5-star Jayden Wade is ready to commit
Along with Georgia in Haven's top four is Florida, Auburn and Alabama. This is a stacked top four where every team has a chance to win this recruitment. Unfortunately for Georgia they are not in the lead right now as that honor goes to Alabama.
The Crimson Tide are the team out in front right now in Haven's recruitment. A couple weeks ago 247Sports logged a prediction in favor of Alabama to win this recruitment, and nothing has publicly changed since then.
Georgia only has themselves to blame if they lose this recruitment, but that isn't a bad thing. The Bulldogs already have a commitment from Jayden Wade who is the No. 1 quarterback in the 2028 class, so it was never likely for another elite QB to want to come to Georgia alongside him. So while it would've been nice to win Haven's recruitment as well, Georgia fans shouldn't worry because winning this recruitment was never realistic.
As long as Georgia holds onto Wade's commitment then losing Haven won't be that bad. But Smart still has a month to flip this recruitment on it's head, so anything is still possible.
