The media needs to relax when it comes to Carson Beck.

Carson Beck unfortunately is the talk of the town. That is what happens when the quarterback of the 10-seed beats three very good teams en route to the National Championship game, so this is just the reality that Georgia unfortunately has to live in.

The media has recently taken things a bit too far over the past week though like when ESPN's commentators were openly talking down on Georgia live on TV during Miami's win over Ole Miss. ESPN however has continued to prop up Beck in weird ways, as seen in the below social media post where they bragged about the amount of national titles Georgia has won.

ESPN continues to use Georgia to prop up Carson Beck

Nothing in the above post is inaccurate, Beck did technically win two National Championships at Georgia. But he didn't actually do anything to win them since he was a backup. So Miami beating Indiana this year in the National Championship game would kind of feel like his first championship.

But ESPN isn't treating it that way. They are acting like he went out and won Georgia's two National Championships himself when in reality that is not the case.

Beck deserves to be praised right now. He is playing at a high level and has helped lead Miami to three impressive wins en route to the national title game. But ESPN and other media outlets are taking things too far, especially when it comes to talking about Beck's time at Georgia.

The worst thing that could happen for Georgia now is Miami beating Indiana in the National Championship game. It may seem really unlikely because the Hoosiers are destroying every team in their path, but there is a world where Miami wins and Beck is the MVP of the title game. And if Georgia fans thought the discourse around Beck is bad now, just wait and see what happens if he does lead them to victory.
