Less than three months ago, four-star linebacker Nick Abrams committed to Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs. Since then, powerhouse programs across the country have been circling overhead, waiting for the perfect opportunity to swoop in and flip Abrams' commitment.
Most recently, the Michigan Wolverines and the Oregon Ducks have emerged as heavy contenders to change Abram's mind, possibly flipping him from the dominant SEC team to one of the top dogs in the Big Ten.
This weekend, as the No. 20 Wolverines take on the Wisconsin Badgers, Abrams will be in Michigan, visiting the campus for a third time.
Abrams has also visited the Bulldogs just twice before, as well as the Oregon Ducks. As of now, it's uncertain if he has a third visit scheduled with either program.
Could Oregon or Michigan flip Max Abrams' commitment?
Despite his commitment to Georgia (and an 84.7 percent chance for the Dawgs to cement that decision), On3 and Rivals still give a handful of programs a small chance to flip the young linebacker.
Michigan leads the way with a small 3.2 percent chance, followed by the Alabama Crimson Tide at 2.8 percent and the Ducks at 2.3 percent. A Maryland native, Abrams also kept the Maryland Terapins within arm's reach throughout his recruitment process, as well as the Penn State Nittany Lions.
Simply put, even with his commitment to the Bulldogs, it is almost entirely uncertain if Abrams will actually end up playing for Georgia. However, a commitment still means something to head coaches and college football programs, especially when it comes to Smart and the Dawgs.
It is very likely that the Georgia coaching staff will work to schedule at least one more visit for Abrams to take a trip to Athens, hopefully cementing his decision to take his future to their program.
