A few weeks after Georgia's season ended an unfortunate rumor spread like wildfire on social media. That rumor had to do with the potential of Nate Frazier entering the Transfer Portal, and the rumor said that he was likely to do so.

Frazier ultimately re-signed with Georgia for the upcoming season, so the fear of his departure no longer exists. But it has never been confirmed if that rumor was true or not until Frazier commented on it during his time with the media at Georgia's practice on Tuesday.

"I just woke up one day and I just seen all those things and I really just turned off my phone and said 'that's what social media is, it's just rumors.' So I just turned off the phone and got back to work... I know this is where I'm supposed to be. I love this place. I already know I don't belong nowhere else and I feel like at this point I've showed everybody I bleed red and black."

Nate Frazier dispels the Transfer Portal rumors that have been hanging over his head

Frazier made it abundantly clear on Tuesday that he never had any intentions of leaving Georgia. There may have been a chance that he was going through contract negotiations to try and maximize the NIL he would receive this season, but that doesn't mean he was even considering leaving Georgia.

Frazier will return this season for what will likely be his last season of college football. He could return again in 2027, but he more than likely will be one of the top NFL Draft eligible running backs after this season so it would be wise for him to head to the next level.

The good news though is that Georgia fans get to experience at least one more season of him in Athens, and with Chauncey Bowens back as well there is a real possibility these two will become the best running back duo in the country.
