Grant Haviland is a four-star tight end who just so happens to be the No. 2 player in the country at his position according to On3. He is someone that Kirby Smart and Georgia have prioritized throughout his recruitment, and they find themselves in position to earn his commitment.
Haviland has announced that Georgia is in his top five which is clearly a great place to be. But there isn't any time to celebrate because Haviland is scheduled to announce his commitment on April 14.
NEWS: Four-Star TE Grant Haviland will announce his Commitment April 14th, he tells me for @Rivals⁰⁰The No. 2 TE in the Peach State will choose between Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt

4-star Grant Haviland is ready to commit
Also included in Haviland's top five is Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Clemson and Ohio State. The two other SEC schools hardly seem like competition for Georgia with any recruit and Clemson no longer is the program that they once were during the 2010s, so this reacruitment looks like it is coming down to Georgia and Ohio State.
But as it stands today it is Georgia who is the leader according to On3 as they give the Bulldogs a 21.9 percent chance to win this recruitment. That low of a percentage may be a little difficult to get too excited about, but that is the only clue that fans have right now with where his recruitment might be standing.
Georgia has recruited tight ends better than any other position over the last few years. A lot of that has to do with Todd Hartley who may be the best recruiter that Kirby Smart has on his staff, but it doesn't hurt that they also have a great history of elite tight ends coming through Athens over the last few years as well.
Georgia fans shouldn't get too excited until an official prediction is placed, but as it stands right now they have as good of a chance as anyone to win this recruitment. And maybe in a few short days Georgia will be able to celebrate yet another massive commitment.
