New expert prediction changes everything in Jared Curtis's recruitment

Five-star quarterback Jared Curtis is still committed to Georgia, but it hasn't always felt that way over the last month. Curtis continues to flirt with Vanderbilt and many recruiting experts believe he will flip to the Commodores on Friday, Dec. 5 when he makes his final decision.

But with a few days left until his final decision, Georgia still has time to get in his ear and convince him to stick with UGA. And while it may seem like a long shot, On3 insider Rusty Mansell believes Curtis will ultimately decide to stick with Georgia.

"As of right now I think he still sticks with Georgia."

New prediction gives Georgia new hope with Jared Curtis

Last week On3 recruiting expert Steve Wiltfong made an official prediction that Curtis was going to flip to Vanderbilt. This made it seem like a guarantee that he was going to pick Vanderbilt, but that may no longer be the case.

Mansell is also a recruiting expert with On3, but he is specific to Georgia while Wiltfong is a national expert. So there is a chance Mansell knows more about this recruitment than Wiltfong does. On top of that, Curtis's mom was on social media this weekend saying she would prefer for her son to pick Georgia over Vanderbilt.

So while it looked like Curtis was a lock to Vanderbilt, that may no longer be the case. There is still a chance he does pick the Commodores, but this prediction from Mansell combined with what his mom said online should give Georgia some confidence.

As mentioned, Curtis will announce his final decision on Friday because his high school team is playing for a State Championship on Thursday. So hopefully Curtis can lead his team to victory and then officially sign with Georgia the following day so the Bulldogs can celebrate bringing in the No. 1 QB in the country.
