Donte Wright's recruitment is not going how anyone at Georgia was hoping. He was one of the first recruits to commit to Georgia's 2027 recruiting class, and last week he ascended to five-star status. That typically is a huge cause for celebration, but no one in Athens is celebrating right now.
Wright has been feeling the love from a few other schools recently, and he unfortunately has been giving them a lot of love back. In fact, his relationship improved so much with one school in particular (Oregon) that he was officially predicted to flip to the Ducks.
Wright is still a member of Georgia's recruiting class, but it doesn't feel like they are the favorite to sign him anymore. But Georgia's latest commit Jerry Outhouse is doing his best to keep him in their class.

Jerry Outhouse made his best pitch to 5-star Donte Wright
Outhouse committed to Georgia just a few days ago on March 6. He is a top 200 recruit who is one of the top corners in the country, so his commitment was a huge deal for the Bulldogs' recruiting class.
Outhouse and Wright have a great relationship as he credited Wright for helping recruit him to Georgia, but now it is Outhouse's turn to return the favor.
Some recruiting experts are saying that Wright's recruitment has been back and forth, that however isn't very accurate. He was all Georgia all last year, but recently he has been more interested in schools not named Georgia. So while he is still committed to Georgia it doesnt' actually feel like he is a commit.
Outhouse however is doing everything he can to keep him in Georgia's class. It's unfortunate because it looks like his efforts aren't working yet, but there is always a chance messages like this could swing things back in Georgia's favor.
