New piece of information will drastically change Carson Beck's recruitment

Georgia football made the biggest waves in all of college football on Thursday when quarterback Carson Beck made the shocking decision to withdraw his name from the NFL Draft and enter the transfer portal instead. Beck changing his mind and deciding to come back to college is a massive announcement on its own, but the fact that he doesn't want to return to Georgia is why this news captivated the entire college football world.

Immediately after this news was released, everyone began debating where Beck would go for his final season of college football. Many programs obviously would be interested and would love the chance to make their pitch to Beck, but unfortunately those new teams will not get that chance after the latest news to come out about Beck's recruitment.

Carson Beck enters portal with a "Do Not Contact" tag

What does a Do Not Contact tag mean? It's quite simple. This means that Beck is officially in the transfer portal, but teams are not allowed to reach out to him directly.

So what does this mean for his recruitment?

This could mean one of two things. The first is that Beck wants to control who gets to recruit him, so he would reach out to a select number of programs to initiate that contact to avoid being overwhelmed with many teams across the country reaching out.

But the most likely scenario is that Beck already knows where he wants to transfer to, and based on multiple reports that school is Miami (FL). That would be an interesting landing spot for Beck, but the Hurricanes will be able to compete for an ACC Championship and College Football Playoff appearance with Beck, so that has to be attractive to him. Beck's girlfriend also plays basketball at Miami, so that likely is a big draw for him as well.
