Georgia football still needs some help in their 2026 recruiting class when it comes to their offensive line, and it appears the Bulldogs have found who their next target is. Four-star offensive tackle Tyler Chukuyem is committed to Florida, but Georgia is officially on the prowl and looking to flip him after officially offering Chukuyem this week.

Georgia looking to flip top Florida commit
Georgia has been keeping tabs with Chukuyem for quite some time now, but the Bulldogs for some reason had not offered him. It's unclear why that was the case because Chukuyem is ranked very high, but UGA decided to keep him warm while pursuing other targets first.
Georgia unfortunately has been missing on a lot of their top targets on the offensive line, so that is why Chukuyem now has officially been offered by UGA.
Chukuyem is from the Peach State and is a top 100 offensive tackle according to On3. Those two facts alone make it strage that Georgia wasn't aggressively pursuing him in the first place, but it is clear that Kirby Smart and his staff want them in UGA's recruiting class now.
Chukuyem committed to Florida in mid-June, but at this point it is unclear if he is willing to back off that commitment and flip to another program. He has been at least listening to Georgia's recruiting pitch recently so that indicates that he isn't fully locked into the Gators, so it will be interesting to see if those conversations with Georgia ramp up now that he has officially been offered.
As mentioned, Georgia could really use the help on their offenisve line in their 2026 recruiting class, and a commitment from Chukuyem would be the perfect addition. But the fact that he is committed to Florida would make flipping him one of the biggest wins of the recruiting cycle this year.
