For the past year college football fans have speculated what led Carson Beck to leave Georgia and transfer to Miami. The exact reason that led him to do so has never been shared, but there are a lot of details that have emerged that helped explain Beck's decision.
An anonymous NFL scout however just weighed in on the drama, and he is putting the blame on Kirby Smart and how he runs his practices.
"It’s hard to lead at Georgia when [Kirby Smart] is screaming in a bullhorn all practice,” an anonymous NFL scout said via x.com. “It’s hard for a quarterback to kind of find his place when all that is going on. It was a good move for him (Beck) to go to Miami."

Smart is known for going over the top during practices on his microphone. Sometimes these moments are captured by the public as they walk by their practice field which was just seen last week when Smart went viral for getting after a new transfer.
But to say those antics are the reason Beck left is a bit insane.
This scout said that it is hard for a quarterback to develop and learn during a practice that is chaotic due to Smart's antics. The opposite however might be true because doesn't it seem like a good thing for a quarterback to practice in chaos? When is it ever calm and easy for a QB in a game? Never? So wouldn't it be wise for Smart to simulate what his team will experience in the game?
Beck has come out and said that he is very thankful for his time at Georgia. He however has also taken some shots at Georgia as well, especially after they were knocked out of the playoff this year.
But Beck has never even hinted at Smart's difficult practices for being a reason why he left Georgia, so this comment is as uneducated as it gets.
