A lot went wrong for Georgia in their loss to Auburn , but that defeat really came down to their three turnovers. Georgia turned the ball over three times while Auburn didn't turn the ball over at all, and that ended up being the difference in a game that UGA still could've won.

During College GameDay this past weekend Nick Saban sent a clear message to Georgia that all they need to do is not turn the ball over and they will be a team that has a chance to win a championship this season.

"Don't turn the ball over,” Saban said via si.com. “People that are turning the ball over are getting their ass beat.”

Gunner Stockton needs to be much better

Gunner Stockton has been great for Georgia this season. He's shown obvious signs of improvement this season compared to last year when it comes to his willingness to throw the deep ball and his effectiveness, but last week that got away from him.

Stockton threw two interceptions that were clearly his fault, but it was his final turnover on the last drive of the game that ultimately cost Georgia. The Bulldogs had the ball in a tie game and needed one more first down to get into field goal range. Mike Bobo opted to run a quarterback draw (which may have been a questionable decision) but Stockton still needs to know that he can't afford to fumble in this scenario.

He unfortunately did fumble which allowed Auburn to kick the game-winning field goal instead.

The good news for Stockton is that Georgia is good enough to win games even when he makes mistakes, but they clearly can't win when he makes this many mistakes. He needs to be much better though because their next three opponents are all better than Auburn, so he can't afford to have three turnover games anymore.

Georgia's loss to Auburn feels like a fluke

Auburn earned their win over Georgia, but one week later it feels like they got a bit lucky to pull it off. Not only did Georgia have to turn the ball over three times, but Auburn had to have zero turnovers themselves just to barely squeak out a win.

On top of that, Auburn played LSU this past weekend and got blasted. This makes it seem like they played the game of their lives against Georgia and still needed a lot of bounces to go their way just for them to still only win by three points.

Instead of Auburn turning into a good team to end the season it seems more likely that they will struggle the rest of the year and barely make a bowl game. While this makes Georgia's loss to them look worse it also makes it look like a fluke. If these teams played 10 more times this season Georgia probably would win all 10 games.

That unfortunately doesn't matter, but it puts this loss into perspective and it shows that UGA is still more than capable of winning a couple championships this season if they take care of the football.
