The entire college football world has their eyes on Athens today as Georgia football plays host to the Alabama Crimson Tide. Even though ESPN’s College GameDay snubbed Georgia by choosing to host their show at Penn State instead, the crew spent a good amount of time talking about the Bulldogs’ showdown this evening.

This includes the entire crew picking the winner of the game, and three of the four predictions were in Georgia’s favor. But UGA boogeyman Nick Saban was the one member who picked in favor of Alabama.

College GameDay crew picks Georgia vs. Alabama

Pat McAfee: Georgia

Nick Saban: Alabama

Desmond Howard: Georgia

LaVar Arrington: Georgia

Kirk Herbstreit: Did not make a pick since he is calling the game.

Nick Saban ends the Georgia hype train

In true Saban fashion, he just had to pick against Georgia. To be fair it makes complete sense why he did, but Saban is the member of GameDay who prevented Georgia from earning a clean sweep of predictions in their favor.

Georgia is just a 2.5 point favorite against Alabama, so this means Vegas thinks either team could win. But the Bulldogs have a 33 game home win streak and have revenge on their minds after their loss to Alabama a season ago, so it makes sense why a majority of the crew is in favor of UGA.

Will Georgia be able to get it done? The majority of the GameDay crew thinks they can, but at the end of the day it doesn’t matter what anyone says. Georgia and Alabama will take the field in a few hours and battle it out to see who the better team this year is. And with so much on the line, this is a game no one across the country will want to miss.
