Georgia just notched what may have been the best win in college football so far this year by beating Alabama on the road this past weekend. They don’t have much time to celebrate though because they have their first rivalry game of the season up next against Auburn.

As always, here is what fans need to know to watch Georgia and Auburn battle this weekend.

When do Georgia and Auburn play?

Kickoff between Georgia and Auburn is scheduled for 3:30 pm EST on Saturday, Oct. 17. The game will be played in Sanford Stadium on Georgia’s campus.

This marks Georgia’s fifth home game of the season. They are currently 4-0 at home this year and will look to remain perfect against the Tigers.

How to watch the Georgia vs Auburn game

Georgia’s matchup against Auburn will air on ESPN. This game was in danger of being put on the SEC Network since there are two ranked matchups in the SEC happening at the same time, but that thankfully did not happen.

Auburn vs Georgia will be available to be streamed on the ESPN app and Fubo TV as well.

Georgia vs Auburn early betting odds

Georgia is a 20.5 point favorite over Auburn, according to the DraftKings Sportsbook. The over-under is set at 49.5 points as well.

ESPN loves Georgia in this matchup too as they give UGA a 90.3 percent chance to win this game.

Georgia vs Auburn storylines

Georgia hopes to make it 10 straight victories vs Auburn

Georgia is 10-1 against Auburn during Kirby Smart’s tenure, but nine of those wins have all come in a row. Yes, that's right, after splitting the first two games against Auburn the Bulldogs have won the previous nine meetings.

Nine straight wins is already extremely dominant, but seeing Georgia’s win streak over a big rival reach double digits would be as good as it gets.

The SEC helped Auburn by giving them a bye last week

The SEC may have attempted to help Auburn be more competitive against Georgia for the second year in a row. Last year Auburn had their bye week before playing Georgia, and the same thing happened again this year.

While Georgia played in one of the most physical games of the year against Alabama the Tigers got to sit at home and get healthy. They should be much fresher compared to Georgia, and that should help even the playing field some.

Georgia is still favored by close to 20 points though, so this advantage may not end up mattering all that much.

Georgia vs Auburn prediction

On paper this should be an easy win for Georgia, but in a rivalry game that isn’t always the case. Just last year Auburn had Georgia on the ropes, but they’ll be hoping to actually pull off the upset this year.

Georgia could struggle at the start of this game after the emotional high of winning at Alabama last week. They however should settle in just fine and walk away with another comfortable victory as they head into their bye week.

Prediction: Georgia 38, Auburn 17
