On3 analyst says the quiet part out loud after Kirby Smart’s heated exchange

There is only one team Georfia has to play now.

Kirby Smart just had a legendary moment off the field on Monday. Usually Georgia fans are used to seeing him break the internet because the Bulldogs just got another big win on the field, but his war of words with Miami head coach Mario Cristobal was as good as it gets.

This exchange has left fans wanting one thing, and On3’s J.D. PicKell said the one thing everyone wants to see happen next.

Georgia and Miami need to play as soon as possible

Smart and Cristobal lobbed playful shots at each other on Monday night at an award ceremony. Smart pointed out that Miami has never won the ACC ever since they joined the league in 2004 while Cristobal bragged about being able to make a playoff run with Carson Beck, something Smart couldn't do with him at Georgia.

All of these jokes were said in a playfull manner, so there is no bad blood between the two. But fans still would love nothing more than to see Miami and Georgia lace their cleats up and settle it on the field.

Georgia and Miami had a chance to play each other this past season in the College Football Playoff. All Georgia needed to do was beat Ole Miss and they would've faced the Hurricanes in the semifinals, and that would've been one of the most anticipated matchups of all time with UGA going up against Beck.

That unfortunately did not happen, but there is always a chance it could happen next season. And not only would Georgia and Miami fans love to see that, so too would the rest of the country.

A lot has to go right for these two teams to meet in the playoff, and because of that it is pretty unlikely that it will happen. So maybe instead of hoping to meet in the playoff Smart and Cristobal should pick up the phone and schedule a home and home series instead.
