Georgia’s seen a mixed bag of recruiting news recently. They just earned a commitment from five-star tight end Jaxon Dollar on Thursday, but earlier this week they had a player turn their back on the program and decommit as well.

The hope now is that Dollar’s commitment will lead to run of recruiting success, but On3 may have just indirectly hinted at yet another loss for Georgia on the recruiting trail.

On3 predicts trouble for Georgia with WR commit Aden Starling

Aden Starling is a three-star wide receiver who committed to Georgia at the beginning of December. According to the 247Sports composite rankings he is the No. 807 overall player in the country and No. 99 wide receiver in the 2027 recruiting class.

That clesrly isn’t that high of a ranking, but Kirby Smart and his staff don’t seem to care. If they think a player is good enough to play at Georgia then no one should worry where they are ranked, so that fact alone makes the above report from On3 a bit troubling.

On3 came out and said that Georgia’s lone wide receiver commit may not stick around. That player is Starling who is the only receiver currently committed to Georgia, so it seems like this is a recruitment the Bulldogs now have to worry about.

Starling previously announced that he was planning official visits to other schools this summer. That however wasn’t a huge deal because a lot of commits all over the country do that, but this is the first report that’s hinted at him thinking about actually leaving Georgia.

Smart will still have plenty of time to recover if they do lose Staing’s commitment, but the fact that they would be losing the only wide receiver in Georgia’s recruiting class is a bit scary. But if that’s what he chooses to do then more power to him.

Georgia will be just fine with or without him, but it’s clear that Smart and his staff would prefer if he sticks with their program.
