Elite tight end Jaxon Dollar is one of Georgia’s two five-star commits in their 2027 recruiting class. He currently is just barely inside the five-star range, but he may be due for a significant increase to his ranking.

Dollar competed at a Rivals event this past weekend, and he put on an absolute show. In fact, he was ranked the fourth-best player at the event as well as the top tight end as well.

That should leave all of the recruiting services no choice but to move him higher in their recruiting rankings.

It’s time to make Jaxon Dollar the No. 1 TE in the country

As it stands today Dollar is the No. 28 overall player in the country and the No. 2 tight end. That clearly is a very good ranking that no one should complain about, but it’s time to make him the No. 1 tight end in the country.

LSU commit Ahmad Hudson is the current holder of that title, and there is a significant gap between him and Dollar as he is the No. 19 player in the country. But Dollar has been balling out and may just deserve to be ranked higher now.

Does it actually matter if his ranking changes? Not really, but it would be really cool for Georgia to be able to say that they have the No. 1 tight end in the country joining their team next year.

Can Jaxon Dollar live up to the standard set by previous tight ends at Georgia?

Georgia has had the best tight end room in the country ever since Brock Bowers was in Athens. No one should ever be expected to live up to the success Bowers found at Georgia, but as a group they have continued to play well since he left.

Georgia has also continued to recruit the position at an extremely high level as well. In the 2025 class they signed two of the top 10 tight ends in the country which they followed up with three of the top 10 in the 2026 class. Now there is Dollar who is No. 2 in the country and another top 10 tight end who is already committed to Georgia in the 2028 class.

This amount of depth is almost impossible to wrap your head around, but that is the reality Georgia gets to live in.

This amount of competition will be difficult for every tight end to compete with, but Dollar will not be intimidated. He will be ready to compete and earn some playing time the second he arrives on campus next year, and no one should be surprised if he earns significant playing time during his freshman season.
