It may only be the end of February, but Georgia is not where they want to be in the team recruiting rankings right now. The goal at Georgia is to finish No. 1 in the class rankings ever year, and unfortunately they are well on their way to falling short of that goal this year.
Rival recently released a new update to their player rankings which caused a big shift in their team rankings, and unfortunately for Georgia they are sitting behind two SEC programs.

Team recruiting rankings paint a scary picture for Georgia
According to the Rivals Industry rankings, Georgia has the No. 3 class in the SEC. They are behind Oklahoma and Texas A&M who both currently have better 2027 recruiting classes right now.
Last year Georgia finished at No. 6 in the 2026 team recruiting rankings. That is nowhere near good enough for Georgia, but a lot of that had to do with the fact that Jared Curtis decommitted from the program at the last second. But still, Georgia expects to do much better than that and that begins with the 2027 recruiting class.
Georgia only has five players committed to their class right now, so that shows how early it is to be looking at these rankings. But being ranked this high with only five commits is actually pretty good. A big reason for that is because of five-star running back Kemon Spell who not only is committed to Georgia but is doing everything he can to recruit more players to UGA.
Georgia also could be closing on another big commitment soon as the No. 2 linebacker in the country has been predicted to UGA as well.
It is still way too early to panic about where Georgia is ranked in the 2027 team recruiting rankings, but another finish like last year would be enough for fans to start becoming a little worried.
