The SEC Network released their 2026 college football hype video on Tuesday. One would assume Georgia would be front and center since they're the two-time defending conference champions and the favorite to win again this year, but those people would be wrong.

Instead the SEC Network first showed clips of Texas quarterback Arch Manning, Auburn quarterback Byrum Brown and South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers before ever showing Georgia.

SEC Network refused to feature Georgia the most in 2026 college football hype video

The most logical thing to do would be to highlight Georgia in the very first clip of this video and the most often. They not only won the SEC the last two years but they are the favorite to win it again this season, so it makes zero sense for them to show any team before Georgia.

Instead they showed a clip of Texas quarterback Arch Manning first. Manning is a great player, but he has never proven that he's better than Gunner Stockton. His stats mirror Stockton, but Stockton actually beats Texas when they play, so he should've been shown before Manning.

Auburn quarterback Byrum Brown and South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers being shown before Georgia might be even worse. Auburn and South Carolina have done nothing to deserve to shown before Georgia. At least Texas is one of the top teams in the SEC and country each year, these two teams have been completely irrelevant in recent years.

Georgia instead has to settle for being the fourth team shown in this hype video. They were also only featured five times with Stockton being shown twice, Nate Frazier once and two other players that are difficult to make out. Other teams, like Texas, were featured far more than five times even though they are 0-3 against Georgia since joining the league.

Who knows why Georgia didn't get the respect they deserve. They are the clear best program in the conference, so it's time that everyone starts acting like it.

Kirby Smart, Georgia may prefer to lie in the shadows anyways

Kirby Smart probably prefers to exist in the shadows. That is when he does his best work because he can point to how Georgia isn't getting the respect they deserve as a way to motivate his team heading into the season.

Georgia may be the favorite to win the SEC this year, but they don't have many people outside of Athens that believe they can win a national title. Very few analysts are picking Georgia to win it all, and zero AP Poll voters voted Georgia No. 1 to start the season even though they are the No. 3 team in their preseason poll.

Georgia has a lot of doubters this year, and their own conference isn't giving them the hype they deserve either. Smart however is probably just fine with that. He now has more motivation to win the SEC once again and prove everyone wrong, and maybe then Georgia will finally get the respect they deserve.
