Georgia basketball is fresh off their best season in the last decade as they made the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2015. Their run in the tournament may have been cut short in the first round, but overall this was an amazing season for Mike White and the Bulldogs.

However, there has not been much time to celebrate this season as countless players have been entering the transfer portal or declaring for the NBA Draft. White did make a splash in the portal already, but there is still a lot of work to be done before next season begins.

But word has come out about a player currently visiting Georgia, and this player is one of the top transfers available in the transfer portal.

North Carolina guard Ian Jackson

According to multiple reports, North Carolina transfer guard Ian Jackson is currently on a visit to Georgia.

Out of high school, Jackson was a five-star recruit and the No. 8 overall player in the country. This ranking obviously comes with a lot of expectations, and Jackson more than lived up to them as he averaged 11.9 points and 2.7 rebounds per game in his true freshman season with the Tar Heels. He also shot nearly 40 percent from beyond the arc, which is something every team in the country needs more of.

247Sports has now ranked Jackson as a five-star transfer and the No. 7 overall transfer in the country. He also is the top ranked shooting guard in the portal as well.

So of all the players White could bring in from the transfer portal, Jackson is potentially the best player he could add to Georgia. And if the Bulldogs end up on top, then the expectation for Georgia would be to get back to the NCAA Tournament for the second season in a row.
