There are many Bulldogs who deserve a lot of praise after Georgia's 43-35 win over Ole Miss. Gunner Stockton's five touchdown performance while dealing with a significant injury definitely deserves to be highlighted, but tight end Lawson Luckie deserves just as much praise if not more.

Georgia has struggled to get any of their tight ends going so far this season, and that has been a major gripe from the fanbase up to this point. But the show Luckie put on against the Rebels will have everyone wondering where this has been his whole career.

Lawson Luckie announced his arrival in the best way possible

Georgia's offense marched up and down the field all night long agaisnt Ole Miss, and Luckie was one of the biggest reasons why. Luckie finished the night with five receptions for 43 yards which are solid stats for any tight end, but his three touchdowns made him one of the most valuable players from this win.

Luckie came to Georgia as a member of their 2023 recruiting class, and expectations were sky high for him. 247Sports ranked him as the No. 2 tight end in the country, so that means everyone expected him to be a great player form the moment he arrived in Athens. Luckie by no means has been a bad player, but he has yet to have a dominant performance like he did against Ole Miss on Saturday.

The only question that remains is if this was a one hit wonder type of performance or if this is the expectation for him going forward. It's hard to expect any player to score three touchdowns in a game, but his five receptions for 43 yards is definitely repeatable. So look for Georgia to continue utilizing Luckie in the offense because they have clearly found something that works.
