Georgia football is hosting 12 recruits on an official visit this weekend to Athens. This number is noticeably smaller than the amount the Bulldogs brought in the previous two weekends, but the storylines surrounding this weekend are just as intriguing.

Current Georgia four-star wide receiver commit Vance Spafford headlines the interest this weekend as Georgia looks to convince him to stop visiting other schools and shut down his recruitment. Three-star wide receiver Terrious Favors is a big name to follow this weekend as well as he is the only visitor currently committed to another school.

But offensive tackle Malaki Lee is another recruit that Georgia fans should be excited about based simply on how far he has to travel to visit Athens again this weekend.

According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Lee is the No. 137 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 10 offensive tackle in the 2026 class and the No. 2 player from his some state of Hawaii.

The fact he is from Hawaii is a big deal because those recruits tend to not visit programs all the way in the SEC very often. Sure they make take their one official visit to these programs because the school will pay for all of their expenses, but Lee already took his official visit to Georgia so he is on his own financially.

That however did not stop Lee from traveling 4,560 miles this weekend to take an unofficial visit to Georgia.

This fact alone is very telling as it shows Lee's interest in Georgia is extremely high. Unfortunately it appears Michigan may lead in his recruitment right now because they have the sole crystal ball prediction in their favor on 247Sports. But Lee traveling this far on his own dime indicates that Georgia still has a great chance at winning this recruitment, and a good visit this weekend could swing things UGA's way.
