The end of the recruiting cycle is always one of the best parts of the college football calendar. The early signing period begins Dec. 4, and as that date approaches we will begin to hear more and more rumors about commits looking (and sometimes trending) to other schools.

Georgia football has already been a part of their fair share of these flip rumors, including four-star Cal QB commit Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele and four-star Georgia Tech safety commit Rasean Dinkins.

However, we all knew it was just a matter of time until one of Georgia's commits began showing some interest to a different school, and that is what appears to be happening with four-star corner Shamari Earls.

Sam Webb with 247Spoets has officially logged a crystal ball prediction for Earls to flip from Georgia to Michigan. This would be very unfortunate if Earls did end up decommitting from Georgia because he is one of the Bulldogs' top commits in this class.

According to 247Sports, he is the No. 67 overal player in the country as well as the No. 9 corner and the top ranked player from Virginia.

Earls’ recruitment isn’t officially over just yet, butKirby Smart and his staff have a lot of work to do if they’re going to keep Earls in Georgia’s class. However, their chances of doing so are looking very slim.

The two most obvious signs of a recruit flipping to a new school are an official prediction from a recruiting expert and a visit getting scheduled to the new school. Unfortunately for Georgia, both have happened with Earls. The prediction came in from Webb late Thursday night, and Earls will reportedly be making an unofficial visit to Michigan this weekend as well.

As mentioned, Earls’ recruitment isn’t over yet, but at this point it’s starting to feel like it is. Maybe Smart will be able to get Georgia trending once again for Earls, but it’d be wise to not get your hopes up.
