Kelsey Adams is a four-star offensive lineman who is committed to Georgia. He originally had a visit scheduled to LSU this weekend to see the Tigers take on Texas A&M, but he changed his mind at the last second and will visit Georgia instead for their game against Oklahoma.
This isn't the first time that Adams has turned his back on LSU in favor of Georgia. Adams committed to Georgia last September, but earlier this summer he began showing signs that he had heavy interest in LSU. That appeared to be the case heading into this weekend too, but for the second time this year Adams slammed the door shut right in Lane Kiffin's face.

Back in June Adams was predicted to flip his commitment to LSU. Usually when that happens it's a done deal and that player is gone, but that didn't happen this time. A few weeks went by without Adams making the move to LSU, then exactly one month after these predictions he announced that he was sticking with Georgia.
At the time this felt like it could be the end of his recruitment, but that turned out to not be the case. LSU and Kiffin never backed down and they kept recruiting him. They even had him planning a trip to LSU this weekend, but just like this summer when it seemed like LSU was finally making strides in his recruitment he reaffirmed that Georgia is the place for him.

The soonest Adams can officially sign with Georgia is December. That is only two months away, but that will feel like an eternity in this recruitment.
Adams obviously has some level of interest in LSU. Even if he effectively said no to LSU's efforts this summer and this weekend he has to still be somewhat intrigued by them or else these developments would've never happened. It's nice that he is visiting Georgia this weekend instead of LSU, but it's unlikely that this will stop LSU from trying to recruit him.
It remains to be seen how much Adams is willing to listen to them. After he reaffirmed his commitment to Georgia in July things with LSU went silent until this week. That's nearly three months of zero positive updates for LSU, so based on that timeline Georgia could be in a good spot to get to December and have him sign with the program. LSU and Kiffin likely won't back down that easy.
For now Georgia has Adams in their recruiting class and the fact that he is choosing to visit Georgia over LSU is a great sign. Adams however clearly has at least a little interest in LSU, but hopefully it won't grow into something more substantial over the next two months.
All Georgia can do is continue to recruit and develop their relationship with him. A big win over Oklahoma on Saturday with him in attendance would certainly help keep him in Georgia's class too, but they have to be mindful that Kiffin and LSU are lurking in the shadows.
