The transfer portal has only been open for one day, but there has been a ton of action around the country already. From over 1,000 players entering, to countless visits being scheduled and even some commitments being made, Wednesday was as busy of a day in the college football world as anyone would have expected.
Georgia football had some action take place on the first day of the transfer portal as well as running back Branson Robinson was the Bulldogs' only player to enter the portal. On top of that, Georgia also scheduled a visit with North Carolina EDGE Beau Atkinson.
These however aren't the only moves UGA has made as they are expecting a visit from a second transfer this week as well.
Army OLB Elo Modozie & UNC DE/OLB Beau Atkinson will visit Georgia this week per @GrahamCoffeyDC

Modozie is the top ranked EDGE in the portal and had 34 tkls, 8 TFL & 6.5 Sacks in 2024
Atkinson is the 2nd ranked EDGE and had 7.5 sacks in 2024. Will be in town Friday/Saturday. pic.twitter.com/O19cT9faBp
Army EDGE Elo Modozie
If it wasn't already obvious how badly Georgia and Kirby Smart want to add an EDGE from the portal, then the fact that Georgia's second scheduled visit is also with an EDGE should make that very obvious.
While Atkinson is a massive visitor, Army EDGE Elo Modozie is even more exciting as he is the top ranked EDGE in the portal. Modozie just finished his second season at Army where he tallied 34 tackles which includes a whopping 6.5 sacks. He also recorded one pass deflection as well, which is always a nice thing to see from an EDGE.
Reports indicate that Modozie will be visiting Georgia sometime this week, but as it stands today he has not publicly scheduled any other visits. While there is still plenty of time for Modozie to do so, this could indicate that he is extremely high on Georgia.
Hopefully that is the case and his upcoming visit ends in a commitment, because this would be about as good of a transfer that Georgia could get this spring.
