Georgia football's annual G-Day is officially in the books, and the reaction from the weekend is very strong. This is especially true for the many recruits who were on campus for G-Day.
No Georgia fan will be surprised to find out that Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs brought in many of the top recruits in the country. And while that is great and all, what matters most is how the recruits enjoyed their time on their visit.
Thankfully On3's Steve Wiltfong shared a few reactions from some of the recruits that were on campus this past weekend.
5-star TE Kaiden Prothro
“It was good,” Prothro said via on3.com. “Just really enjoyed being back down there.”
“Really just watching them play and see how the team looks,” Prothro continued. “The coaches and what they’re doing with their tight ends. The atmosphere and the coaches and players and just the whole community.”
4-star TE Brock Williams
“The environment was amazing,” Williams shared. “My favorite thing about UGA is the play and history of tight ends and how good of people all of the coaches are! Georgia definitely exceeded my expectations for sure! I’m not sure what the rankings are on the schools that I’m high on but Georgia is definitely at the top of the list for sure! I will be visiting as much as I can!”
4-star safety Zech Fort
“The environment was very electric despite it being a spring game,” Zech Fort stated. “The fans showed up, and the guys competed at a high level on both sides."
“My favorite thing about the Bulldogs program is culture," Fort continued. "The standard is the standard at Georgia, and everyone gets treated the same. Coach Smart is about physicality, toughness, and working hard.”
4-star DL Carter Luckie
“The environment is awesome,” Luckie shared. “There was around 30,000 people there for a spring game so I really got to see the atmosphere. My favorite thing about the program is the way that Coach Scott develops his players to get to the league.”
3-star safety Zeke Marshall
“The environment at UGA today was electric,” Marshall said. “Just that perfect mix of intensity and family vibe. Sanford was buzzing, fans showed up big, and you could really feel how much this program means to the community. Everyone’s locked in, but it’s also just a fun place to be.”
The Bulldogs were able to add one commit during G-Day, but it will be interesting to see if Georgia is able to add more commits in the coming days. But based on these reactions alone, there might be a great chance for another commitment soon.
