It’s impossible to state just how massive five-star quarterback Jared Curtis’s commitment was. Not only is Georgia adding the No. 1 quarterback in the country to their recruiting class, but his addition should help UGA land some other top recruits as well.
Curtis himself has shared that he will be doing everything he can to help Georgia land five-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell, but four-star wide receiver Ryan Mosley is eyeing Georgia even more now after Curtis’s commitment.
“If you go to Georgia, you know you're gonna have a QB so just going there knowing you're going to have him for the next three or four years if I am there, so that's really a great thing,” Mosley said via si.com.
Jared Curtis’s commitment could push Ryan Mosley to Georgia
Mosley is an extremely sought after recruit as he is a top 200 overall player in the 2026 class. He also is from Georgia, so that makes him that much more of an important target for the Bulldogs as well.
Before Curtis’s commitment on Monday, Mosley already had Georgia in his top four along with South Carolina, Nebraska and Texas A&M. However, recruiting experts have mixed opinions on who his leader is.
247Sports has placed three crystal ball predictions in favor of South Carolina to win this recruitment, but On3 has Georgia as the favorite. But it sounds like this commitment from Curtis could be the difference for Georgia as they look to beat the Gamecocks for Mosley.
Mosley has his official visit with Georgia coming up on May 30 with visits to his other three finalists in the weeks after. So this is when Georgia will learn exactly where they stand with Mosley.
But it appears adding the No. 1 QB in the country to Georgia’s recruiting class isn’t going to hurt their chances in landing Mosley.
