G-Day gave Georgia fans their first chance to officially welcome the incoming freshman class to Athens. There are plenty of names that they already know that everyone is counting on making an impact this season, but there are some more unknown names who were ready to show what they've got as well.

Jae Lamar is an incoming running back who finds himself pretty far down on the depth chart. That however might need to change as he was overheard sending an intense message to Georgia's defense during G-Day on Saturday.

Lamar had a somewhat rocky road throughout his recruitment. After committing to Georgia he ended up having second thoughts about if UGA was the right place for him or not. Then after deciding to stick with Georgia he ran into some off the field issues that resulted in him stepping away from football for a bit.

He ultimately came back to his high team a few weeks later and said that he was ready to focus on finishing out his high school career and beginning his college career at Georgia. And so far he has been a force that UGA can't ignore this spring.

During G-Day on Saturday Radi Nabulsi overheard Lamar talking a little trash to Georgia's defense. That's to be expected, but he warned his teammates to be ready to meet him in the middle if he got the chance to run the ball up the seams.

Having this much confidence in himself this early in his career is amazing to see. This fiery attitude could end up being the difference between him being an average back at Georgia and a superstar, and it's really difficult to be a good back in the SEC without this mindset.

Lamar more than likely won't see the field too much this season, but he is someone who can't be ignored going forward. And if he always has this level of confidence and drive throughout his career then the sky is the limit.
