Georgia's 42-7 victory over Ole Miss on Saturday was more than good enough to deserve to be ranked No. 1 in the country. Undefeated Miami previously stood in their way, but they lost to Notre Dame which cleared the way for Georgia to climb back up to No. 1.

That's exactly what happened on Sunday as the Week 10 AP Poll has Georgia back on top at No. 1.

Georgia has a chance to redeem themselves after Auburn loss

Three weeks ago Georgia found themselves ranked No. 1 in the country for the first time this season. They unfortunately lost their No. 1 ranking after just one week thanks to their embarrassing loss to Auburn at home.

Fast forward three weeks, and two big wins over Florida and Ole Miss, and Georgia is back at No. 1. They now have a chance to right their wrong and prove they deserve to be at the top of the rankings after dropping the ball against Auburn three weeks ago.

The good news for Georgia is that they already have the experience of being ranked No. 1. Maybe it got to their head before they played Auburn, but there's no chance they let that happen this time. They already saw just how easy it is for them to lose to any team in the SEC, so they know that being ranked No. 1 doesn't guarantee them anything.

In reality being ranked No. 1 means they have a larger target on their back. That won't scare Georgia, but they'll have to be careful because the final three games on their schedule don't get much easier.

Georgia's final three games aren't as easy as people might think

It might feel like Georgia is past the difficult portion of their schedule, but that isn't completely true. The Bulldogs final three games aren't as difficult as the few they just played, but they still face two significant challenges.

Up next is a home game against Missouri who just dropped out of the top 25 after their 14 point loss to Texas at home. They however are the first team outside of the top 25 so they are still a solid team that Georgia can't look past. After Missouri the Bulldogs hit the road one more time and travel to South Carolina who is ranked No. 20. The Gamecocks have an easy game this week against Arkansas, so Georgia should get a chance to play another ranked opponent in two weeks.

Georgia's season finale is against Georgia Tech who is 2-7 and unranked. They've pushed Georgia the last few years, but they shouldn't be much of a challenge this season.

Georgia is in prime position to make the SEC Championship game and College Football Playoff, but there is still work to do. All it takes is two more losses for Georgia to miss the playoff and SEC title game, so they need to remain focused on the task at hand which starts with beating Missouri.
