Georgia football has another massive game on their hands this weekend. The Bulldogs will have to turn the page and move on from their loss to Ole Miss because Georgia is welcoming No. 6 Tennessee to Athens this Saturday.
There is so much on the line for Kirby Smart's squad in this game. A loss eliminates any chance Georgia has to play for an SEC championship game this season. There is even a chance that Georgia could miss out on the College Football Playoffs with a loss as well. So it is safe to say that Saturday is a must win game.
Smart has already spoken about the upcoming game against Tennessee earlier this week, and so too has Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel.
Here is what the Tennessee head coach had to say about facing Georgia this weekend.
"Obviously getting ready to go play a great opponent," Heupel said via uga.rivals.com. "You look at them really in every phase of the football game, extremely talented, coached extremely well. They play hard. They play fundamentally sound. They make you earn it in every way.... In this one, you've got to go earn everything against them. Offensively, extremely talented playmakers out on the outside, good offensive line, talented running backs, quarterback is a dynamic player. Defensively, it's a typical Georgia defense."
Heupel is ready for a battle
Tennessee is ready for a battle this Saturday in Sanford Stadium, and if Georgia wants to win they’re going to have to be ready as well.
The eyes of the entire country will be on this game as ESPN’s College GameDay will be in town. This game is also one of two games that features two ranked teams this weekend, but the other game (Clemson vs. Pittsburgh) does not have the juice this one does.
So Georgia has a great opportunity to show the world that last weekend’s game against Ole Miss was an outlier, and this team is still a national title contender.
Let’s hope they do just that.
