A few weeks ago Georgia flipped top 100 offensive tackle Kennedee Jackson from Florida. This decision came just 11 days after he initally committed to Florida, so that fact alone made this commitment an important one for Georgia.
So why did Jackson flip to Georgia so soon after committing to Florida? For Jackson it was simple, Georgia was always his dream school and the second he visited Athens he knew it was the place for him.

Kennedee Jackson confirms why his commitment is the most important for Georgia this year
It was a very strange decision when Jackson chose to commit to Florida. Jackson made this decision after he officially visited their campus, and he did so even though he had an official visit to Georgia scheduled for the following week.
Many Florida (and even some Georgia) fans believed this meant he wouldn't visit Georgia anymore, but that wasn't the case. In fact, Florida even tried to pay Jackson to not go on this visit but even that didn't work. But Jackson did visit Georgia and the rest is history.
Jackson likely knew all along that he wanted to play for Georgia. That makes it weird that he chose to commit to Florida in the first place, but that fact makes his commitment to UGA even better.
What's better than flipping a recruit from Florida? Not much, but flipping a top 100 recruit like Jackson from the Gators after he was committed to them for just 11 days is about as good as a recruiting win can get.
Kennedee Jackson's recruitment is another reminder of how much Georgia owns Florida
Georgia is an impressive 8-2 against Florida since Kirby Smart became their head coach. This includes winning the last five matchups which cements just how much better Georgia is compared to their rival.
Florida fans however have found new hope since they hired Jon Sumrall this offseason. He has come in and recruited at a really high level, and that has given their fans a reason to believe that his tenure will be different.
But instead of waiting to see if he can actually beat Georgia on the field, some Florida fans are acting like he is already better than Smart. That is a decision they more than likely will live to regret.
The greatest example of this is how Florida fans initially reacted when Jackson committed to them. They were rightfully excited, but they made some outlandish statements that backfired when he chose to flip to Georgia.
Georgia fans will always care about winning on the football field more than winning on the recruiting trail. The same however can't be said for Florida fans because they haven't experienced too many wins on the field recently. So it really isn't all that surprising that they care so much about recruiting right now because they have to find something to cheer about.
But Georgia not only gets to celebrate all their wins on the field, but they get to also brag about flipping Jackson from them in record time. That must be a tough pill to swallow.
