Kirby Smart made a huge splash on Friday as he earned a commitment from four-star quarterback Colton Nussmeier. Georgia has been in search for a quarterback in the 2027 recruiting class for months now, and after multiple players chose other schools Smart has finally found his guy.
Georgia is in the middle of a massive recruiting event this weekend, so this commitment certainly sent shock waves that every single recruit on campus felt. One of the recruits on campus right now is current five-star running back commit Kemon Spell who promised that Georgia isn't done after Nussmeier's commitment.

Kemon Spell predicts more fireworks coming this weekend
This is the second weekend in a row that Georgia is hosting a lot of recruits on official visits. Does anyone remember what happened last week? Georgia earned four commitments from players that visited the weekend prior.
Georgia's list of visitors is much smaller this weekend compared to last week, so it would be a big surprise if they added four commits. But there is one player everyone should have their eyes on, and that is four-star safety Jayden Aparicio-Bailey.
He is the No. 134 player in the country and would be the perfect player to get a commitment from. Georgia currently doesn't have any defensive backs committed to their recruiting class after losing two top 100 commits a few weeks ago. So for those reasons alone he would be a huge addition to the program's recruiting class.
Maybe Spell has an inside scoop on him, or maybe he knows something about another visitor. But Spell thinks more commitments could be coming soon and that should excite Georgia fans everywhere.
Kirby Smart's recruiting tactics should've never been doubted
It's time that everyone stops doubting Smart. Many questioned if he had lost his touch with the 2027 recruiting class, us included, but it's time that people stop doubting who he is a recruiter.
Questions surrounding Smart's recruiting strategy came flooding in a few weeks ago when Georgia dropped outside of the top 30 classes in the country. He was failing to get any recruits to commit and some of his top targets were even committing elsewhere before he got them to visit Athens.
But like Smart has done every other year, he kept pushing forward and has Georgia soaring up the recruiting rankings now.
Georgia's recruiting class is almost back inside the top 20 which still isn't where they want to be, but it's a lot better than where they were. Now all that it takes to get back inside the top 10 is just a few more commitments, and after watching Nussmeier commit and Spell proclaim that more news is coming it seems like that could happen as soon as this weekend.
