By now everyone knows that former Georgia football quarterback Carson Beck has made the decision to withdraw from the 2025 NFL Draft and transfer to Miami (FL) to play one final season of college football. Everyone also has voiced their opinions on this decision from Beck and shared why they think he chose to do this in the first place.

So now that all of these thoughts and opinions are out of the way, it's time to look ahead to the 2025 season to see what lies ahead for Miami and Beck.

Being that Beck is now in the ACC instead of the SEC, his schedule will be easier than he is used to at Georgia. But what he will face with Miami in 2025 is still very difficult and will make it extremely challenging for them to accomplish their goals.

Miami (FL) 2025 Schedule

Sep. 13 - South Florida

Sep. 20 - Florida

(Date TBD for eight ACC games)

Can Beck and Miami meet their expectations?

The goal for Miami next season with Beck is very clear, winning an ACC Championship and making the College Football Playoff. And while that goal does seem realistic, it is going to be extremely difficult because of their schedule.

Miami's non-conference schedule is not kind. Two of their four non-conference games will be easy wins, but the other two could very well result in losses. Those games are Notre Dame, who is playing for a National Championship this season, and Florida, who has shown signs of improvement this past year. On the bright side for Miami, these games are both at home, but they will not be automatic wins.

Miami losing these two games will not impact their chances of winning the ACC, but it would be impossible to earn an at-large bid into the College Football Playoff if that happens. So these two early season showdowns for Miami will show everyone what this team is made of.

Now looking at their ACC schedule, things don't get much easier. The dates for their eight conference games are not out yet, but Miami does know who they will play and where the games will be played at. A few games jump out immediately such as Louisville and NC State at home as well as SMU and Virginia Tech on the road. A road game at Florida State could be interesting as well, depending on if the Seminoles can bounce back from their horrific season in 2024.

Miami and Beck don't need to win a National Championship next season for it to be viewed as a success. They do however either need to win the ACC or make the College Football Playoff. Failing to do either of those things will make the season look like a failure, which will cause everyone to question if Beck made the right decision or not.
