Georgia has already stolen one commit from Penn State in the 2027 class. That player is five-star running back Kemon Spell who is the No. 6 overall player in the country.

Kirby Smart now has his sights set on four-star wide receiver Jamir Dean who is currently committed to Penn State.

Dean is in Athens this weekend on an official visit, so that already shows just how interested he is in flipping to Georgia. But in a recent interview with Rivals' Steve Wiltfong he gave three big reasons why Georgia could end up winning his recruitment.

4-star Jamir Dean explains why Georgia could earn his commitment over Penn State

Dean's three reasons for why he could see himself committing to Georgia are extremely noteworthy. He said that Georgia's ability to compete for championships, develop their players and send players to the NFL are the three reasons why he could end up flipping to Georgia.

Over the past five years no one has won more championships than Georgia. This includes three SEC titles and two National Championships which are two things Penn State hasn't won since 2016 when they last won the Big Ten. Penn State also hasn't won a national title since 1986 while only coming close to winning one this century just one time.

Then there is the fact that no school sends more players to the NFL than Georgia. The Bulldogs still hold the record for the most players selected in one NFL Draft, and after setting that record a few years ago they have continued to send countless players to the league.

Even if all of this is in Georgia's favor it still won't be easy to flip Dean from Penn State, but good thing Georgia has a secret weapon up their sleeve that they can use as well.

Georgia commit Kemon Spell will play an important role for Kirby Smart in Jamir Dean's recruitment

Five-star running back Kemon Spell is Georgia's No. 1 commit in the 2027 class as he is the No. 6 overall player in the country. He can play a huge role for Georgia in Dean's recruitment because he was once committed to Penn State as well.

Spell will be in Athens this weekend alongside Dean, and if Smart is wise he will use that to his advantage to try and convince Dean to do the same.

As mentioned, Spell is a top 10 player in the country, so if Georgia can flip him from Penn State surely Dean would be open to doing the same as well. Spell however is from the state of Pennsylvania, so how could Dean see all of that and not think about flipping himself?

Dean committed to Penn State on May 1, so it's unlikely that he will change his mind this weekend. But Georgia clearly is in his head right now, and if they play their cards right they could remain involved in his recruitment long enough to eventually flip him from the Nittany Lions.
