Zachariah Branch is off to the NFL after the Atlanta Falcons selected him at the 2026 NFL Draft. One of the weapons he now gets to play alongside is former Florida tight end Kyle Pitts.

Georgia fans will never want to give any Gator any praise, but anyone who loves football knows how great of a player he is. He dominated at Florida and has continued to be a great player since he left for the NFL, and it will be exciting to watch him and Branch in the same offense in Atlanta.

Pitts recently spoke about Branch and how he has adjusted to the NFL, and he inadvertently told every recruit in the country why they should play for Georgia over Florida.

Kyle Pitts just made Kirby Smart's No. 1 recruiting pitch for him

Kirby Smart doesn't sell recruits on NIL. Georgia does have a lot of NIL money to offer players, but that isn't why Smart wants recruits to choose Georgia. He wants them to pick Georgia because of their standard of excellence on the field and how his staff prepares them for the NFL.

Since 2020 no school has been batter at sending players to the NFL. The Bulldogs have the most draftees during that time frame with 62 and the next closest team is Alabama who has had 53 draft picks. Not only does Georgia send the most players to the NFL though, but they also are prepared to excel the moment they join their new team.

Pitts himself said that Branch already carries himself like a professional. He also expanded beyond that and said that most Georgia Bulldogs who enter the league already act like professionals as well.

This is the exact pitch that Smart tries to sell recruits, and Pitts inadvertently is helping Smart make it. So why would any recruit chose Florida over Georgia now?

Even former Florida Gators know recruits are better off at Georgia

Pitts himself admitted that Georgia players are prepared for the NFL more than anyone else. Smart targets recruits with aspirations to make it to the NFL, so this is the best thing any of those recruits could hear.

This pitch seems to be working for Smart because Georgia continues to recruit at a much higher level than Florida. They just surpassed Florida in the team recruiting rankings this weekend and also flipped one of the top offensive tackles in the country from Florida earlier this summer as well.

Georgia also is 8-2 against Florida during Smart's tenure as well. to along with four SEC Championships and two national titles.

There are so many reasons why a recruit should pick Georgia over Florida, and it's hard to even think of one thing that's in Florida's favor. All of these reasons are why no recruit with offers from Georgia and Florida should ever pick the Gators, and the best part of all is that Pitts is helping Georgia out-recruit Florida without even realizing it.
