Sunday turned into a massive day for Georgia football on multiple fronts. The Bulldogs received some amazing news coming off their second official recruiting weekend of June while a fan favorite has reportedly found their new NFL team as well.

But before diving into those stories, let’s begin with a huge step in the right direction for Georgia’s projected starting quarterback this fall.

Gunner Stockton invited to Manning Passing Academy

Questions have been swirling all offseason surrounding if Gunner Stockton will be a good enough quarterback for Georgia this fall. Those questions won’t be answered until the regular season begins, but a camp Stockton will attend this summer sheds some light on the player he is.

Stockton was invited to and will participate in the Manning Passing Academy held at the end of June. This event is reserved for the top quarterbacks in college football, so it’s clear two of the best QBs in NFL history have a lot of faith in Stockton heading into the 2025 season.

Georgia receives 2 predictions after official visit weekend

Georgia has wrapped up their second recruiting weekend of June, and so far they have received two predictions to land recruits that were in town. The first is for three-star offensive lineman Zachary Lewis, who was being heavily pursued by Georgia Tech as well. The second came for top 100 corner Caden Harris, who is currently committed to Vanderbilt.

It’s unclear if either recruit will announce a commitment soon, but things are look really good for Georgia with both recruits.

Nick Chubb has found his new home

Former Georgia running back Nick Chubb is one of the most loved Georgia football players in recent history. Unfortunately for Chubb, the last two seasons have ended in injury right when he was proving he was one of the top running backs in the NFL.

After the 2024 season came to an end, the Cleveland Browns announced they were moving on from Chubb. This could have been the end of Chubb’s career, but new reports surfaced Sunday night indicating that he is expected to sign with the Houston Texans on Monday.

Out of all the Bulldogs in the NFL, Chubb is potentially the one who deserves success the most. So hopefully he is able to find that in Houston where the Texans are likely to have another great season in 2025.
