Georgia football held their second fall scrimmage this past weekend, and one running back showed his injuries are no longer bothering him. On top of that, a true freshman wide receiver made a strong case for why he needs a lot of playing time this season.

But let’s first begin with the greatest quarterback in Georgia football history who put on a dominant performance in the NFL this weekend.

Stetson Bennett shines in latest preseason game

Stetson Bennett has waited two years for his first real opportunity in the NFL, and this preseason he is finally getting that chance with the Los Angeles Rams. Bennett and the Rams faced the Chargers on Saturday in a preseason game, and Bennett did what he does best as he led the Rams to a dramatic last-second victory.

Bennett completed 28 of 40 passes for a whopping 324 yards and three touchdowns during this game. This includes the last-second touchdown that put the Rams ahead of the Chargers for good.

Bennett will still be the backup this season to fellow Bulldog Matthew Stafford, but he is making a great case for why he should be a future NFL starter.

Roderick Robinson finally looks healthy again

Georgia running back Roderick Robinson has suffered more than his fair share of injuries since arriving in Athens. This offseason however has been a productive one for him as he has shown countless times that his injury woes are a thing of the past.

Georgia’s second scrimmage this past weekend is the latest example of this as sources indicated that Robinson proved without a doubt that he is healthy again. Not only did he show he is healthy again, but Robinson showed why he deserves a lot of snaps this season even with Georgia’s deep running back room.

Freshman WR CJ Wiley was top performer during Georgia’s scrimmage

Georgia has completely revamped their wide receiver room this offseason, and one of those new additions is true freshman CJ Wiley. While Wiley was a highly ranked recruit, not much was initially expected of him as a true freshman this season. That however has quickly changed as Wiley was one of the top performers from Georgia’s scrimmage this weekend.

Wiley is the future of the wide receiver position at Georgia, but fans should also expect to see him make a lot of big plays this year as well.
