A few weeks ago four-star offensive tackle Kennedee Jackson committed to Georgia. The fact that he is a top 100 recruit in the country is reason enough for Georgia fans to be really excited about him, but Jackson originally being committed to Florida made his commitment even better.
Everyone nowadays knows how little being "committed" actually means. Jackson himself proved that because he was only committed to Florida for 11 days before he flipped to Georgia, but he made the announcement on Saturday that he was shutting his recruitment down which means Florida (and every other school in the country) no longer stand a chance at flipping him from UGA.

What will Florida fans say now after Kennedee Jackson shut his recruitment down?
Do Florida fans have anything they can talk smack about now? They certainly can't say anything about what takes place on the field because they can't even beat South Florida let alone Georgia.
But recruiting was where they thought they could talk a little trash since hiring Jon Sumrall. He has done a great job recruiting for the Gators so far, but he is yet to find success against Georgia.
Florida fans thought they had a huge win over Georgia when Jackson originally committed to them, and some of their fans let their delusional feelings be known. That however completely backfired just 11 days later when Jackson flipped to the good guys.
So what will Florida fans say now? Surely they will find something they think they can puff their chest out about, but Georgia fans will likely be sitting somewhere laughing hysterically at what it is they do next.
What does Kennedee Jackson's commitment mean for Georgia?
If it wasn't already clear how badly Jackson wanted to be a Bulldog, his announcement on Saturday made it obvious. But what does his commitment and subsequent announcement actually mean for Georgia?
Let's first state the obvious regarding how big it is to have a top 100 recruit committed to Georgia. Not only that, but having that talented of a player at offensive tackle, which may just be the most important position in the country, is something most schools can only dream of.
A player like Jackson is extremely difficult to land in the first place. Holding onto their commitment can be even harder. But Georgia no longer has to worry about losing him because he won't be fielding any calls from any phone numbers outside of the Athens area code.
Better luck next time Florida.
