Georgia is the No. 1 program in the country. Other teams like Indiana, Ohio State and Michigan may have had their moments the last few years, but even they don't compare to the level of success that Georgia has found over the last five years.
So when ESPN released their 2026 College Football anthem on Friday it was not surprising when Georgia was featured front and center throughout the video.

ESPN highlights Georgia throughout their new 2026 College Football anthem
Georgia was featured two times in the above video posted to social media by ESPN. The first time was about 20 seconds in as it showed Kirby Smart leading his squad onto the field moments before a game. Then about 30 seconds later they showed a quick shot of Georgia's cheer team helping get the crowd into the game on the sideline.
ESPN releases a new anthem every year with a video to go along with it. Last year Georgia was also front and center multiple times throughout their hype video, and this year was no different. This shows that ESPN knows how big of a program Georgia is and that they will play a big role in how the 2026 college football season shakes out, so they were left with no choice but to feature Georgia.
Georgia however wasn't featured the most this year, but only they can change that going forward.
Georgia has work to do to remain the face of college football
The team featured the most by far in ESPN's anthem was Indiana. The defending National Champions will always get the most screen time, so no one can be upset about that. After them teams like Ole Miss and Miami were featured heavily as well. It is a bit frustrating that programs who are much worse than Georgia got more screen time, but they made it deeper in the College Football Playoff last season so that is probably why.
Georgia however can only blame themselves for this. Had they found some success in the playoff then they would've been featured more, but after failing to win a playoff game for the third year in a row ESPN decided to feature other teams more.
No team has found more success than Georgia this decade. Their two National Championships and three SEC titles are the most in the country this decade, so that rightfully earned them a place as one of the featured teams in this anthem.
Georgia however will want to be the No. 1 team in next year's anthem, and the only way to do that is to win a National Championship this season. They are one of the favorites to do so in Vegas' eyes, so maybe this time next year Georgia will be all over ESPN's 2027 College Football anthem.
