A few weeks ago Georgia learned when their first three games of the 2026 season will begin. This included a 3:00 pm kick for their season opener against Tennessee State followed up with a 12:45 kick the next week against Western Kentucky. Georgia also learned that their SEC opener in week three at Arkansas would be a Noon kick as well.
While these early start times made sense considering they are against three bad teams, Georgia fans were left feeling a little sad that they would have to wait longer for their first home night game of the season.
Fast forward to Thursday night though and four more game times were announced for Georgia's upcoming season. While they are all pretty good game times, fans will still have to wait longer to get a night game at Sanford Stadium in 2026.
Georgia's new kickoff times still don't include a home night game
There are four games that stand out as some of the biggest on Georgia's schedule this season. This includes a road games at Alabama, home games against Vanderbilt and Auburn and their rivalry matchup with Florida.
Every fan wants the biggest matchups to have great start times, and thankfully that is exactly what happened.
Alabama may just be the biggest game on Georgia's schedule this year, and it will rightfully be a night game. A specific time wasn't announced, but it will begin between 6:00 and 8:00 pm. This game will have massive SEC Championship and College Football Playoff implications on the line, so fans from across the country will be ready to tune into this one.
Georgia's two rivalry games against Auburn and Florida will be afternoon games this season. As is tradition, their game against Florida will start at 3:30 pm and their matchup with Auburn will be between 3:30 and 4:30.
Last but not least as an unusually big game against Vanderbilt in Athens week five. This will be Georgia's first opportunity for revenge this year as former five-star quarterback commit Jared Curtis will come to Georgia likely as the Commodores starting quarterback. This game unfortunately won't be at night as it will begin between 12:00 and 1:00, but this game didn't need more fuel added to the fire.
Georgia fans will point out that they still don't have a true home night game on their schedule yet. That however will likely change with their week four showdown with Oklahoma being the most likely home game to be a late start. Georgia Tech could also be a night game as well, but that is a little less likely, but Georgia's rematch with Ole Miss in Oxford has a great shot to be a night game as well.
Regardless of what times these games are played Georgia will be ready. They have a chance to win a third straight SEC Championship this year, and that is all Kirby Smart and his team probably care about.
