Georgia's frustrating QB woes are on the verge of ending with one big commitment

Kirby Smart appears to have found the answer to Georgia's biggest question in the 2027 recruiting class.

Kirby Smart is still in search of his prized quarterback commit in the 2027 recruiting class. So far they have struck out on every target they have shown interest in, with recent losses to Alabama and a shocking defeat to Virginia Tech, but Smart has remained diligent in his pursuit of a quarterback for Georgia's class.

Four-star Colton Nussmeier seemingly is the last elite quarterback Georgia has a chance with. He is the No. 142 overall recruit in the country and someone that Smart has shown a lot of interest in.

Will he be able to finally get Georgia over the top? That remains to be seen, but Georgia is officially the team who is trending in his recruitment as predictions came flooding in on Friday in their favor.

Georgia could earn a commitment from Colton Nussmeier as soon as next week

There is a good chance that Georgia could earn Nussmeier's commitment as early as next week. Beginning June 12 Nussmeier will officially visit Georgia, and based on this prediction this seems like the most likely time he would announce his commitment.

Georgia does have a few other schools to overcome though. Arkansas is the most notable program as they are the other school in Nussmeier's top two along with Georgia. UCLA is another team to keep an eye on as well because they have a visit scheduled for the weekend after his trip to Athens on June 19.

Hopefully Georgia can convince Nussmeier to commit before he heads to UCLA because that is a visit they won't want him to take. The Bruins usually aren't a program Georgia needs to worry about, but they already stole top 100 defensive back Jerry Outhouse from them a few weeks ago.

They most certainly could upset Georgia again, so it is very important that Nussmeier commits before that visit.

What would a commitment from Colton Nussmeier mean for Georgia?

A commitment from Nussmeier would change everything for Georgia’s recruiting class. Not only would it send them flying up the recruiting rankings, but the Bulldogs would likely earn more commits as a result.

So other recruits would see Nussmeier in Georgia’s recruiting class and be more willing to give them a closer look because they want to play alongside him.

Strange QB cancellation finally makes some sense

Georgia fans thought they were making moves with a quarterback heading into this weekend, but it wasn’t with Nussmeier.

Word came out on Thursday that Oklahoma State commit Carson White was expected to visit Georgia this weekend. But just as fast as that news spread an update surfaced that White’s visit was canceled.

No explanation was given for this cancellation, but fans suspected that Oklahoma State convinced him to change his mind. But this Nussmeier prediction may mean that it was Georgia who canceled on White because they felt good about where things stood with him.

Georgia is scheduled to host Nussmeier on a visit next weekend, and after this prediction it feels like that could be when he commits to UGA.
