Georgia currently has two players committed to their 2028 recruiting class. Jayden Wade is the headliner of the class as he is the No. 1 quarterback in the country, but tight end Asa Wall shouldn't be overlooked either.

He is the No. 112 overall player in the country, so he is someone that is extremely important for Kirby Smart to hold onto as well.

Wall has been committed to Georgia since last October, but some big programs are beginning to aggressively pursue him. Wall however doesn't seem to be that interested in them, according to Georgia reporter James Morgan.

“Other SEC programs like LSU, Alabama, Florida, Auburn and Oregon are all trying to flip the Georgia commitment,” James Morgan said via ugawire.usatoday.com. “However, Wall has not wavered in his commitment to Georgia. The four-star is going to prove to be a tough player to flip.”

Why Georgia fans shouldn’t worry about losing Asa Wall’s commitment

Wall is from the state of Georgia, so that is one reason why fans shouldn't worry about losing his commitment even if these big name schools are after him. But there is a much larger reason that should ease every worry fans might have.

Wall is a legacy recruit as his father J.T. Wall played fullback at Georgia in the early 2000s. He also coaches his son in high school, so he is as involved in his son's recruitment as he could possibly be.

There are a lot of examples of kids choosing to play at a different school from where their parents played. They usually just want to create their own legacy, and they can't be faulted for that at all. That however doesn't apply to Wall because why would he have committed to Georgia so early in his recruiting process if that mattered to him?

It would be really surprising if Wall didn't sign with Georgia in a year and a half, so he is someone that no one should lose any sleep over.

Kirby Smart has a chance to do something special with Georgia's 2028 recruiting class

Georgia's 2027 recruiting class isn't living up to the standard that is expected in Athens, but the 2028 class could make up for it. Wade and Wall will be two big pieces if they stick with Georgia, but there's a chance for some more big additions as well.

The No. 1 running back in the 2028 class was just spotted working out in Georgia gear this week. On top of that, the No. 1 offensive tackle in the country just said that Georgia is one of his top schools as well. Who knows if these players will end up picking Georgia or not, but there is a scenario where they both do. And if that happens Georgia will have a commitment from three different No. 1 recruits in the same class.

That more than likely will not happen, and at the end of the day that is okay. Wall however doesn't sound like he's going anywhere anytime soon, and keeping him in their class is something Georgia fans should be very excited about.
