It's been a few months now since Jared Curtis betrayed Georgia and flipped to Vanderbilt. Georgia has had plenty of time to get over this loss, but there will always be thoughts in the back of everyone's head about what could've been had he stuck with Georgia.
Those thoughts might exist in Curtis's head as well, especially after watching former Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia go undrafted at the 2026 NFL Draft.

Diego Pavia's NFL Draft failure is a sign that Jared Curtis made a big mistake
In what was potentially the biggest story of the NFL Draft, Pavia, who was the Heisman Trophy runner-up, went undrafted. The last time a Heisman finalist wasn't drafted was all the way back in 2014, so Pavia is in some uncharted territory right now.
He also hasn't even been picked up as an undrafted free agent yet either.
So how does this impact Curtis and Georgia? Pavia's failure to get drafted shows that Vanderbilt may not be a great school to go to if you want to make it to the NFL. Sure Pavia had a solid college career, but Vanderbilt apparently did him no favors in his journedy to the NFL.
Pavia's attitude may have something to do with not being drafted, but that is something Vanderbilt could've attempted to get under control. But at the end of the day they failed in getting him drafted and that speaks volumes.
Curtis now is stuck with a school who couldn't even get the Heisman Trophy runner-up drafted. Sure he probably thinks he will be different, but he could've just gone to Georgia who has a proven track record of sending players to the league.
Gunner Stockton is one year away from making it to the NFL. Jake Fromm and Stetson Bennett were both drafted after their college careers were done. Even Carson Beck who spent most of his career at Georgia was just drafted in the third round this year.
Georgia has proven it isn't hard to get a quarterback drafted, but Curtis unfortunately is stuck with a school who might not know what they are doing. And to make matters worse, he has to face Georgia this season in Athens where everyone will have revenge on their minds.
