The aftermath of Georgia football's big win over No. 1 Texas this past weekend has been a site to see for the Bulldogs. Georgia has received countless awards already, and Kirby Smart is once again adding another award to that growing list.

So many coaches, players and members of the program deserve a lot of credit for the win against Texas, but Smart likely deserves more than anyone else. He had his team and coaching staff fully prepared for this game, which was seen by Georgia jumping out to a massive 23-0 halftime lead.

Smart's next great move was keeping his team releaxed after Texas stormed back to make it a 23-15 game after a very controversial call. But Smart never flinched. And that attidude was shared by the rest of the team as Georgia's offense went 89 yards in 11 plays the very next drive to extend their lead to 15 points.

Now that is what a winning culture looks like.

Out of any midseason award a head coach can win, this is one of the most prestigious. This committee will award a Coach of the Year at the end of the season as well, and at this rate it looks like Smart is going to be in the running for that as well. So having one of their Coach of the Week awards under his belt will help him in that quest.

Smart is the sixth winner of this award this season. Oregon's Dan Lanning, Vanderbilt's Clark Lea, Kentucky's Mark Stoops, Tennessee's Josh Heupel and Washington State's Jake Dickert have also won this award this year as well.

And to put the icing on the cake, Smart won this award in the same game that he won his 100th career game at Georgia. It really doesn't get more special than that.
