Georgia earned a massive commitment on Saturday as they flipped top 100 recruit Kennedee Jackson from Florida. Jackson was only committed to the Gators for a whopping 11 days, so when he flipped to Georgia it sent every fan into a celebratory frenzy.

This included Kirby Smart who took to social media to celebrate Georgia's big victory as well.

Kennedee Jackson is Georgia’s biggest recruiting win yet this year

Georgia has a lot of really good commits in their 2027 recruiting class, but Jackson may be their biggest commitment yet.

His ranking alone is enough to make Georgia fans really excited as he is the No. 73 overall player and No. 9 offensive tackle in the 2027 recruiting class, according to 247Sports. On top of that, Jackson is the No. 5 player from the Peach State as well.

This commitment is a big deal for a much larger reason though because they stole him from Florida. Flipping a recruit from any school is really exciting, but taking someone from a rival like Florida after he was committed to them for just 11 days is as good as it gets.

That gets taken to another level though after factoring in that Florida tried to pay Jackson to not visit Georgia after he committed to them.

So even though Georgia has commits ranked higher than Jackson, the fact that Smart was able to flip him from Florida is why he may be their biggest commitment so far this year.

Kirby Smart will always get the last laugh against Florida

When Jackson committed to Florida on June 2 their fans went crazy online. They had every right to because they earned a commitment from a Georgia recruit that Smart really wanted, but they should've thought twice about how they chose to celebrate.

One Florida fan in particular, who is going viral today, decided to say that new Gators head coach Jon Sumrall has a "permanent locker" for Smart. Georgia fans made sure to amplify that comment on social media today after Jackson flipped to the good side.

It's very peculiar that Florida fans try to compare themselves to Georgia right now. No one is saying they can't be exciting about Sumrall, but attempting to compare him to Smart already is silly.

Smart is the best head coach in the country. He is the most accomplished active head coach in the country as well. That amount of success deserves respect even from Georgia's biggest rivals, but that is something some Florida fans aren't willing to give him.

But maybe no one should blame Florida fans. They have had absolutely nothing to celebrate on the football field ever since Smart became Georgia's head coach, and their 2-8 record against Smart forces them to be creative when they try to talk trash.

But they should probably try to talk trash to the Vanderbilt's and Missouri's of the world because those are programs more on their level.

On second thought, they both might be way better than Florida right now too, so they should probably focus on beating teams like USF instead.
