Michigan fans are somehow convinced they are better than Georgia.

Georgia is entering a dangerous stretch in Jayden Wade's recruitment. The five-star quarterback has been committed to Georgia since last November, but he his still eyeing a visits to a few other schools this summer.

Wade warned Georgia that these visits were coming and that no one should worry about his commitment, but now that they are starting to materialize it is impossible to not be a little bit concerned.

The Michigan Wolverines are one of the schools that feel confident they will get a visit from Wade. Michigan just flipped fellow five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood from LSU in the 2025 recruiting class, so they are feeling confident they can do the same to Georgia with Wade.

However, fan-run website GBM Wolverine, which covers Michigan athletics from a fans perspective, gave three reasons why Michigan can flip Wade that will make every Georgia fan roll on the floor laughing.

Michigan fans give hysterical reasons for why they will flip Jayden Wade from Georgia

So why do Michigan fans think they will flip Wade from Georgia? It's actually quite simple. They believe Wade has a ”special bond” with former Michigan quarterback JJ McCarthy because the both played quarterback at IMG Academy where Wade currently plays high school football. McCarthy and Wade are seven years apart in age though, so how special can their bond really be?

Also, every big name program has players from IMG. Georgia has a handful on their roster right now which includes a couple players who played with Wade at IMG, so wouldn't their bond be more special than two guys who are seven years apart from each other?

Don't worry, Michigan fans have two more reasons why they will flip Wade with the next being how it will be impossible for him to say no once he sees their brand.

“Michigan has to get him on campus for a visit and pitch their brand to him, where he can't say no," said Nick Popio of GBMWolverine.

That's not even the funniest part though because apparently flipping Wade all boils down to just wanting him bad enough.

“All joking aside, Michigan football can flip Wade if they really want him bad enough."

The "joking aside" actually refers to the only reasonable point they made when it comes to Wade's recruitment. This is referring to their point about needing to make an NIL offer he can't say no to, and that actually could be enough to flip Wade. But that apparently is just a joke and it's actually Michigan's "brand" and "wanting him bad enough" that will lead to them flipping him.

If that's what Wade's recruitment is going to come down to then I might be more worried about the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors flipping him than Michigan.

How concerned should Georgia actually be about Michigan flipping Jayden Wade?

All jokes aside, Michigan is a program that is capable of flipping Wade. They proved they could pull it off with Underwood two years ago, but even though that occurred under a different coaching staff it shows they have the ability to pull it off.

But why would he choose Michigan over a program like Georgia? Michigan is a program that likes to think they are in the top tier of college football, but that just isn't the case.

Sure they won a National Championship in 2023, but what happened after that? They went 7-6 in 2024 before missing the playoff again in 2025. What did Georgia do after they won back-to-back national titles in 2021 and 2022? They went 12-0 in 2023 which they followed up with an SEC Championship and College Football Playoff appearance in 2024 and 2025.

Sure Michigan got to the mountaintop, but they fell off extremely fast and are no better than the Minnesota's and Illinois' of the Big Ten now.

It's all impossible to not point out how poor their quarterback play has been. McCarthy was an average quarterback when Michigan won it all in 2023. That championship had more to do with the team around him then anything he did, and that has been proven as he has done absolutely nothing in the NFL since being a first round draft pick in 2024.

Then there is Underwood who is entering his second season at Michigan after being the No. 1 overall recruit in the 2025 recruiting class. He was their starter last year and ended up being one of the worst quarterbacks in the Big Ten. He only threw for 2,400 yards and 11 touchdowns to go along with nine interceptions and a 60 percent completion percentage. But worst of all he didn't show any signs of improvement throughout the season.

Can Michigan actually flip Wade from Georgia? Sure, but it isn't very likely at this point and it wouldn't be for any of the reasons their fans are listing.
