Former Georgia football quarterback Carson Beck decided in January to leave Georgia and transfer to Miami (FL). This is the definition of "old news" at this point, but many fans across the country are left wondering why Beck made this decision instead of returning to Georgia for his final season.
While likely no one outside of Beck and his corner will ever know why he decided to move on to Miami, people will always speculate what the main reason was. 247Sports' Brad Crawford recently weighed in on why he thinks Beck left Georgia, and this is a new theory no one has been talking about yet.
"He's (Beck) better than what he showed last year at Georgia. A lot of that was Mike Bobo and that pro style offense that every quarterback hates to play in. There's a reason Carson Beck left."

Mike Bobo keeps getting blame
According to Crawford, he thinks that Offensive Coordinator Mike Bobo is the reason why Beck left Georgia for Miami, specifically because of the pro style offense he runs.
Many Georgia fans might agree with this opinion because they have been upset with the job Bobo has done for awhile now. This displeasure with Bobo hit an all time high after Georgia's loss to Notre Dame in the College Football Playoff as many fans were calling for Bobo to be fired.
In reality, Bobo is not going to be fired this year, in fact he recently signed an extension that will keep him in Athens for the foreseeable future, so maybe there is some truth to Beck not wanting to play for Bobo anymore.
Regardless of what the reason is, Georgia fans seem ready to move on to their next quarterback in the fall, who in all likelihood will be Gunner Stockton. And the hope is that Stockton will have a better season than Beck, which would obviously be a lot of fun to experience.
