Mike Bobo can silence more haters if Georgia lands another 5-star QB later this month

It felt like every week, more and more people were calling for Mike Bobo's job, but now that the Georgia Bulldogs have bounced back, that call has grown quieter.

Even with the loss to Alabama, the Georgia Bulldogs have very little to complain about this season. With a 7-1 overall record, things are looking good, if not great, for the Dawgs' postseason.

A lot of that has led to people quieting their calls for offensive coordinator Mike Bobo to be fired. Now, there's yet another step Bobo can take to retain his role at Georgia.

Jayden Wade, the No. 1 overall prospect and No. 1 quarterback in the class of 2028, already announced that he will make his commitment on Nov. 16, in less than two weeks' time. If Bobo and the Bulldogs can land Wade's commitment, it would go really far for both of their futures

Wade, a Florida native who plays high school football at IMG Academy in Los Angeles, had already narrowed his prospects down to seven schools when he announced his commitment date, including the Georgia Bulldogs, Michigan Wolverines, Texas Longhorns, Florida Gators, Ohio State Buckeyes, Oregon Ducks, and Washington Huskies.

Bobo isn't only the Bulldogs' offensive coordinator, but he is also the team's quarterbacks coach. So, he has been heavily involved in Wade's recruitment process.

Luckily for Bobo (or maybe even because of Bobo), the Bulldogs are expected to earn his commitment, with On3 and Rivals giving Georgia a 53.5 percent chance, followed by the Longhorns with 24.4 percent odds.

"According to sources, Wade and Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo have a very close connection with one another," Sports Illustrated's Jonathan Williams wrote. "The Bulldogs will find out if their early relationship prevails with one of the best players in the country in a couple of weeks."

Unsurprisingly, since the class is still two and a half years from graduating high school, Georgia has landed just one commitment from the class of 2028, so far, in tight end Asa Wall.

A specific time was not announced for Wade's commitment, but Dawg fans should keep their ears and eyes open on Monday, Nov. 16, to learn where the talented young quarterback will take his talents in the future.
